Ce samedi 6 mai 2023, pour le couronnement de Charles III, quelque 2.000 personnalités, parmi lesquelles figurent Emma Thompson, Lionel Richie ou encore Katy Perry, ont pris place dans l'abbaye de Westminster. Le président du Conseil européen, le Belge Charles Michel, a également été aperçu.

L'actrice anglaise Emma Thompson a fait sensation ce samedi au couronnement de Charles III.

Il y a du beau monde ce samedi 6 mai 2023 au coeur de l'abbaye de Westminster où une pléiade de stars du showbiz assistent au couronnement de Charles III. Parmi les quelque 2.000 personnalités triées sur le volet, Emma Thompson, Lionel Richie ou encore Katy Perry ont obtenu leur ticket en raison de leur proximité avec le nouveau roi. Et le moins que l'on puisse écrire, c'est que les personnalités sont sur leur 31 pour cet événement d'envergure.

Lionel Richie participera, par ailleurs, au concert ce dimanche.

S’il fait partie des artistes qui se produiront lors du concert organisé dimanche dans le cadre du couronnement, l’interprète de tubes mythiques comme "Dancing on the ceiling" et "All Night Long" a également reçu une invitation à la cérémonie à Westminster. Un honneur qu’il doit à son rôle d’ambassadeur mondial du Prince's Trust, l’association caritative de Charles qui a aidé plus de 825.000 jeunes dans le besoin depuis sa création, en 1976.
